The Bible tells us...

1.  WE ARE ALL SINNERS:

"There is none righteous, no not one."  "For there is no difference, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3: 10,22,23)

2.  SIN RESULTS IN DEATH AND BARS US FROM HEAVEN:

"For the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23)

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death." Revelation 21:8

"Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

(John 3:3,18)

3.  GOD PROVIDED A WAY FOR US:

"He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" (2Corinthians 5:21)

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." (John 3:16,17)

4.  SALVATION IS A GIFT TO BE CHOSEN, NOT EARNED:

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8,9)

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he said us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost." (Titus 3:5)

5.  ALL THAT IS REQUIRED IS REPENTANCE (change of direction toward God) AND FAITH (taking God at his word):

"Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." (Acts 20:21)

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."  "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."(Romans 10: 9,13)

6.  GOD WILL NOT TURN YOU AWAY IF YOU COME TO HIM IN SINCERITY, WITH A HUMBLE SPIRIT:

"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."

(John 6:37)

"And ye shall seek me, and shall find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13)

7.  HOW CAN YOU BE SAVED?

If you believe that God's way is the right way, and trust Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection as full payment for your sin, ask the LORD for his mercy and to save your soul.  The exact words do not matter. A prayer does not save you.  What saves you is the heart's conversion from your own way to God, in faith according to the scriptures.
