15 Days to Go! PDF Print E-mail

There are only 15 days left until I fly to Nigeria to preach revival in the crusades with

brother Ulo. So far the lord has shown himself strong in this work supplying the

needs for this trip.

1Sa 12:24 Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for

consider how great things he hath done for you.

Praise the Lord! We want to also thank brother David Cagle and King the James

Bible Society for his help having  previously placed seven Ruckman Reference

Bibles, seven copies of Dispensational Truths, seven copies of God's Answers to

Man's Questions, seven copies of What Saith the Scriptures, and seven copies of

Monarch of the Books, into the hands of Pastor Ulo and the six national pastors that

I will work with on the crusades.

Also,  brother Cragel has sent 64 hardcover Bibles, 29 New Testaments, and some

other materials to be used in the December crusade. He informed us that  Brother

Ulo can also get Igbo and KJV Bibles through a program offered by the American

Bible Society of Nigeria, which has also occurred.  Brother Ulo informed me that he

collected more Bibles from certificates that were sent to him.

I have today collected from the Nigerian Bible Society via American Bible Society

the followings:

250 copies of Old KJV Igbo Bibles

50 copies of New KJV Igbo Bibles

& 144 copies of KJV English.

The eye glasses are on there way in two boxes byinternational priority airmail.

There ended up being a total of 775 altogether because of the awkward size of

repacking and the cost of shipping. In addition bro Cragel is

sending Bro Ulo:

five more large flat rate boxes containing a total of 250 Bible

studies on Matthew,

250 Bible studies on John, 500 English Scripture booklets,

                  1,000 Igbo Scripture booklets,

                  20 Bibles, and

                  5 New Testaments.

If you want to support a Bible Society that is getting the job done for God I highly

recommend the King James Bible Society This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it they have the right book

and they greatly multiplied our donation.

The hour is fast approaching please pray for God to use me in preaching his word to

the lost in Nigeria! I have received my seven shots, malaria pills, deet insect spray

water purification tablets, electric plugs for the Nigerian power my bags are half

packed.

UPDATING THE NIGERIAN MISSION TO AFRICA

God has repeatedly confirmed to Pastor Burkinshaw the recent Macedonian call for help from the national Christians in Nigeria.  God is greatly blessing our efforts to supply Bibles, eye glasses and other needs for the desolate Christians of Nigeria!   The first emphasis of the coming crusade and revival is to get God's Word before the national pastors with the best teaching materials available, by supplying them to  the local pastors supporting the crusade.   This will enable them to win men to Christ and to teach sound doctrine long after the mission and crusade has ended.

So far, we have placed seven Ruckman Reference Bibles, seven coopies of Dispensational Truths, seven copies of God's Answers to Man's Questions, seven copies of of What Saith the Scriptures, and seven copies of Monarch of the Books, into the hands of Pastor Ulo and the six national pastors that will work with him on the crusades.

For the crusade itself, we have sent 64 hardcover Bibles, 29 New Testaments, and some other materials to be used in the December crusade.  Brother Ulo can also get Igbo and KJV Bibles through a program offered by the American Bible Society of Nigeria.

Muche more help is still needed, but we trust God will supply all our needs as he has begun to work mightily on behalf of the crusade.  If you are a pastor and would like a part in meeting the needs of this crusade, Pastor Burkinshaw will come to your church on the love offering of the Lord.

Anyone who wishes to give to the mission effort can do so by sending your gift of support to:

The Needs of the Nigerian Mission PDF Print E-mail

The needs of the Nigerian Mission and Crusades:

Pastor George Burkinshaw has received a Macedonia call to come to the African state of Nigeria, from the Rev. Lucas Ulo, a national pastor. It was a call for help in the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through crusades, revival, visitation and street preaching.  Also greatly needed is relief and help in an improvised mission field.   Acts 16:9 "And a vision appeared to Paul in the night;  There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us."

Pastor Burkinshaw will be leaving for the first Nigerian crusade on December 2, 2010 as he has his passport and air tickets in hand.  Pastor Burkinshaw is the founding pastor of the Calvary Bible Baptist Church of Elbridge NY, starting the work in the Lord's service in  1980.  He has remained faithful to the work for the last thirty years. Prov 20:6 "Most men will proclaim everyone his own goodness, but a faithful man, who can find?"

The pastor and congregation of the Calvary Bible Baptist Church, are giving sacrificially to the limit of their resources to reach the lost and needy people of Nigeria.  Their prayer is that God will send the much needed support for this mission and future missions, to help Pastor Burkinshaw open a door to Nigeria and all of Africa.  Nigeria holds the largest population in Africa with about 167 Million needy souls.

Nigeria today is a very dangerous mission field with the kidnapping of foreign nationals and many diverse diseases such as Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, Meningitis, Rabies, Polio, and Malaria.  Your prayers are earnestly desired and desperately needed for health and safety.  Your financial support is also greatly needed and appreciated, as most of the people of Nigeria live in significant poverty both spiritually and physically.  Nigeria is a mission field that often seems neglected by many missionalries.  Perhanps this is due to the medical risks from contagious and infectious diseases and the frequent kidnapping of foreign nationals.

Any financial support that you could provide for this Gospel and humanitarian mission would be greatly appreciated.  You may send donations to:

Calvary Bible Baptist church at 585 West Main Street, Elbridge, NY 13060.  Attn: Nigerian Mission

Our prayer is that many churches and Christians would ask the Lord if he would have them to give regular, monthly support to this mission work, AFTER being faithful in the needful support of their local church.

Pastor Burkinshaw's prayer is that local pastor's would invite him to their church to present the mission field to their congregation.  As a church pastor, he prefers to work through local churches.

Shipping expense is very cost prohibitive.  In most cases it runs about $5 per pound.  So we are setting up a banking account in Nigeria so that many items can be purchased in Nigeria.  This will give us an open door  to the merchants and allow us to be good stewards of the Lord's supply.  I John 3:17 " But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?"

Current and future needs of Nigeria:

$450 for 900 pair of glasses (three packages).  We have found a source for new reading glasses at fifty cents each in packaged groups of 300, with various strengths.

$500 to open bank account in Nigeria

$350 for shots

$1000 for Bibles

$799 Half Mile Hailer portable sound system (wireless).  Public Address System such as Amplifires, Mixers, Microphones, and Microphone stands, Box speakers.

$900 State Police security for crusades, required by government.

$1000 Generators for Electricity, Search lights or Flood Lights

$2000 Musical Equipment

$500 Video Projectors for Crusade Films

?????? Clothes, Shoes, etc

?????? Food Stuff   Bags of rice for hungry and needy villagers

Pastors that would have Bro. Burkinshaw present the mission field to their congregations may email him at:

Pastor Burkinshaw will come by faith and the love offering.
