The Needs of the Next Nigerian Mission Crusade
Php 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
1. We will need one older, used, twelve to fifteen passenger van that will still run for at least a month in Nigeria after being shipped in a container, by boat, filled with Bibles, glasses, Christian school materials and crusade materials. Shipping the materials and the van needed for the revival to Nigeria will cost about $1,500 - $2,500.
2. We will need, and will be able to ship in the van, many King James Bibles and tracks in both the English and Ibo (pronounced Ebo) languages. By shipping these materials in the van, we can provide transportation for the crusade workers and security personnel, which would cost that much or more to rent. Also, we can avoid the prohibitive shipping costs to Nigeria, that are now at least five dollars per pound and up.
3. We will need volunteer, mature, surrendered Christians, skilled in wholesome Christian music, willing to pay their own way to Nigeria and back, which would be a cost of five to six thousand dollars, while sharing hotel rooms with other volunteers of the same sex. Volunteers will need to obtain passports, visas, shots, airfare, share room expenses and purchase food. You may call Pastor Buckingham, only after asking your pastor if he would be agreeable with your service to the crusade. Serious consideration should be given to serve in deplorable third world conditions; no American amenities are on this mission field. Please do not waste your time thinking about a Christian retreat, as this mission field requires sacrificial self denial throughout the stay. We will hold about two church or school services per day and then three additional services per night during the open air crusade; be assured this is all work and sacrifice for the Lord!
4. About $10,000 dollars in expenses will be needed for the open air crusade with attendance of three to five thousand people for three or four nights in Nigeria. The materials and expenses will cover: erection of stage, renting of space, advertisement on radio and television, posters and handbills, public address system, crusade transportation, generator, security, lighting equipment and equipment security, and various miscellaneous expenses.
5. It is greatly needed and I would greatly desire to be able take a volunteer missionary medical health care provider or team to help the many sick children and elderly people while we preach the Word to them, as the need is very great. I met many sickly people there, especially the young and the elderly!
6. Room permitting, any new or used working laptops or computers donated, would be greatly appreciated by the Nigerian pastors as they cannot afford them. Also any musical instruments, and church equipment that can fit in the van would be greatly appreciated, such as working public address equipment, overhead projectors and other similar equipment.
7. If you look at the pictures of the churches I preached at, you’ll notice there is a mission field and a need to construct simple block structures for church buildings. Most of the churches that I preached in were simple tarp structures!
1Jo 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:
Having preached the gospel to many Nigerians with great blessings in souls won for Jesus Christ, I am fully committed to returning to Nigeria by myself again, if that is the Lord’s will.
It is my hope that the Lord will send committed and surrendered Christians with me but if that in not his will I will still go.

Nigeria crusade blessed greatly by the Lord!
I want to first thank the Lord Jesus Christ for his placing me in the ministry some thirty years ago; having found myself accepted in the beloved, but often despised of some men. Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. While in Nigeria the Lord in his mercy and grace stood with me and guided me in a supernatural way, that few Americans in our modern times have had the privilege to experience Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.I would like to thank my local church family who remained faithful in the support of their pastor. Helping him sacrificially in service and in prayer to see the fruit of the Nigerian crusade. They, along with other Christian churches and their pastors contributed sacrificially to the great reward of souls in this first Nigerian crusade.
I would like to thank every Christian who stood by me in prayer and sacrificial giving, standing by the stuff while the Lord took me to Nigeria for his glory in the redemption of many Nigerian souls. 1Sa 30:24 For who will hearken unto you in this matter? but as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike.25 And it was so from that day forward, that he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel unto this day.
The harvest of Nigeria was extremely bountiful and plenteous. While there, the Lord granted the privilege to preach in seven church services, three schools: one private, one state and one Christian. We also handed out many tracks while traveling from the hotel to preach and then returning. The Lord also gave me opportunity to preach in a palace, to a King and about one hundred of his subjects. In personal work with those that I had to do, the Lord allowed me to personally lead in prayer, Harry (a relative of Pastor Ulo) and one of my security guards to the Lord Jesus Christ. Each of the three schools ran about five to six hundred students. After the message, at the invitation, we saw from one half to two thirds of the students raise their hands and then in prayer repented of their sins, asked the Lord Jesus Christ to be their Savior and then promised to follow him the rest of there lives! In the church services we saw from ten to thirty souls mostly adults, come forward repent of their sins and ask the lord to save them and then pledge to follow him! At the King's palace we saw about thirty adults come forward repenting of their sins and asking the Lord to be there savior, the same promised to serve the lord which was added after salvation to encourage service. After all services we gave out English KJV Bibles, Ibo Bibles, English KJV new testaments and many tracks! In closing I want to thank the Lord for the privilege to serve him on the mission field, with hope to return to Nigeria to preach larger open air crusades!1Ti 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; I would also like to thank brother Ulo for his mature, responsible care of me while I was with him and his family in Nigeria. Brother Ulo is a faithful Man of God who has stood by the Stuff for many years. Pr 20:6 Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find? Please continue to pray for Bro Cagle
